Norma Jean Hamilton Fields age 85 of Cissellville Rd., Springfield, passed away at 5:00 am Sunday, February 8, 2026 at Springfield Nursing & Rehab.
Born August 20, 1940 in Washington County, she was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Allen and Anna Lavenia Vize Hamilton, her husband, Earl Fields, March 15, 2017, two brothers, Steve and Leroy Hamilton and two sisters, Joyce Smith and Naomi Hamilton.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Rose Catholic Church.
She is survived by 3 sons, Ricky (Fran) Fields, Bobby (Laura) Fields and Mark (Angela) Fields all of Springfield, 2 Daughters, Wanda Clark (Danny Hutchins) of Loretto and Lisa (Ricky) Browning of Lebanon, six brothers, Kenny (Lucy) Hamilton and Gerald (Charlotte) Hamilton all of Springfield, Fred (Ruth) Hamilton of Bardstown, Leon (Arlene) Hamilton of Lebanon, Glenn Hamilton of Loretto and Paul (Mary) Hamilton of Springfield, five sisters, Helen Mattingly of Lexington, Pat Lee Osborne of Woodlawn, Sheila Brady of Bardstown, Cathy (Al) Nally of Loretto and Jackie (Gary) Fenwick of Springfield, ten grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral mass for Norma Jean Hamilton Fields will be conducted at 11:00 am Thursday, February 12, 2026 at St. Rose Catholic Church with Rev. Pier Giorgio Dengler, O.P. officiating. Burial will be in St. Rose Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Adam, Anthony and Trevor Fields, Doug Foster, Tony, Todd and Scott Hamilton, Darrell Smith and Jeff Osbourne.
Honorary pallbearers will be Erica Mattingly, Bradley Clark, Emily Lanham, Katie Fields, Amber Spaulding, Kelli Lucas, and Megan Fields.
A prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm Wednesday, February 11 at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home where friends may call from 4:00 till 8:00 pm Wednesday and again from 7:00 am till 10:30 am Thursday morning.
